Hanuman, the celestial monkey chief, is one of India’s most beloved figures. His dedication to the god Roma makes him a strong symbol of unparalleled loyalty, selflessness, and devotion. He was said to be a gifted grammarian, yogi and scholar and a perfect balance of heroic strength and loving emotion.

Shiva is known as the “destroyer and transformer”. As one of the supreme deities of the Hindu trinity, he creates, protects and destroys the universe. Regarded as the patron of yoga, meditation and arts he is a force of energy and creative power. Shiva is depicted in many forms but perhaps most famously as the Nataraja, or “Lord of Dance”. His dance is said to mark destruction but also transition from one stage to another.
