Mid-Summer Blog

When discussing my vision behind my jewelry line to customers, the words “in between” often come up.

My background in high-end jewelry and my love and taste for mixing materials and styles has evolved over time. I believe in mixing it up: I'm comfortable to wear a diamond pendant on leather or finding a special stone at the beach and having it mounted in gold. I believe in mixing old and new at any time. I believe in wearing jewelry everyday regardless of the occasion, from a casual afternoon at a farmer’s market to an evening out. I truly enjoy it. However I realize not everyone is in the same boat. That’s why it was always an important consideration for me to design pieces that easily transition.

This “in between” philosophy and idea of moderation carry over for Brigitte Regula in the materials I'm using and my designs. When I began my line in 2013 I started small, just feeling it out. I was always inspired by the antique. I started casting some of my finds in brass and softly redesigning them to be part of my own unique collection. The brass was a great look for sure, but I felt as though something was missing. I felt it didn’t translate as dressed up, whether to work or a more sophisticated moment.

This was the motivation for expanding my line into this higher quality and I’m truly happy with the result.

All of our Signature pendants are now made in Sterling Silver. The more you wear your silver piece the more beautiful and patinaed it will become, reflecting your own individual story. As I’m sure you’ve all seen on antique jewelry or at a flea market on bunches of old silver cutlery - it reflects its unique history and age. All of our gold pieces are also done in Sterling Silver and then carefully finished in 22Kt 5 Micron Gold Vermeil in Europe.

I’m so pleased with how beautiful and solid the collection looks. In keeping with my “in between” philosophy it’s always a careful balance of quality and cost but I’m confident in the end result.

To find the balance in everything is always a challenge, but once found it’s a great place to grow from.
